Clubs invited to enter #UBLTry Of The Month

Ulster Bank are running a #UBLTry Of The Month award where clubs across all five divisions can post their best tries, with the winner receiving a monthly prize.

The Ulster Bank League kicked off last month with clubs invited to post the best tries from their fixtures on the club’s Twitter, Facebook or Instagram pages using the hashtag #UBLTry and tag @irishrugby and @ulsterbankrugby. Any try scored in an Ulster Bank League match is eligible for entry.

The award is designed to recognise the outstanding team and individual scores from Division 1A to Division 2C.

The scorer of the #UBLTry of the Month will receive a €250 voucher, with each of the monthly winners entered into a #UBLTry of the Season competition with the winner collecting an award at the annual Ulster Bank League awards.

IRFU President Philip Orr said: “The clubs are the core of our game and the Ulster Bank League is at the pinnacle of the club game. I would like to thank Ulster Bank for its continued support of our clubs and its support of the Try of the Month initiative which will highlight the quality and talent that is displayed week in, week out across all five divisions.”

Director of Customer Experience & Products (Interim) at Ulster Bank, Joe Heneghan, added: “We are delighted to continue our involvement in the Ulster Bank League and we are thrilled to announce the new #UBLTry of the Month initiative.

“We want to encourage clubs to get involved and nominate the best tries from their Ulster Bank League fixtures on the club’s Twitter, Facebook or Instagram pages using the hashtag #UBLTry and tag @irishrugby and @ulsterbankrugby. We would like to take this opportunity to wish all the players and clubs the best of luck for the season ahead.”
