The English rugby season is drawing to a close and it’s been another busy one for the U13 team at Farnborough Rugby Club.
In the latest instalment of our Spotlight series, we caught up with manager Emma Henderson on how Teamer helps her organise her players.
When did you first sign up for Teamer?
On the recommendation of one of our coaches, we signed up to Teamer in May last year as communication via email was becoming tiresome and ineffective.
Why did you start using Teamer?
As communication through email and text messages was becoming a full time job we were keen to introduce a new system of communicating information to the whole squad in a quick and efficient manner. Teamer ticked all the boxes!
How does Teamer help you and your team?
Teamer is a god send! Training, matches and social events are created within minutes with invites being sent to all of our players instantly; knowing who is available and when makes life for our coaches that much easier.
Why is Teamer better than texting/emailing/calling?
Managing a team of over 30 players cannot be done effectively by email or text unless you have nothing else to do! Being able to see player availability in ‘real time’ is fantastic – I don’t know how we managed before Teamer….
Which elements of Teamer do you use the most?
Whilst most elements of Teamer are used, the creation of ‘events’, Team Talk and the photo gallery are all in my top three.
How user-friendly do you find Teamer?
I find Teamer really easy to use especially now I use it virtually every day! That said, if I do come across something unclear, your customer helpdesk is always there to help me.
What are your favourite aspects of using Teamer?
The best part of Teamer for me is the ease of creating and cancelling ‘events’ knowing that all my squad will receive instant updates without the worry of having to contact everyone individually. The added bonus of Teamer now chasing availability on my behalf is brilliant!
Teamer is available to any sports team in the world and is 100% free. Sign your team up today!
