London FA seeks young football leaders

The London FA is setting up a Young Leaders Council to create a voice for young people to help shape and develop football in London.

The capital city’s County FA want their council’s membership to be representative of London’s diverse community and will be looking to recruit members from all over London.

Wanting representation from all areas of the game, they are not only looking for players, but young coaches, referees and administrators too.

So if you live in London and are involved in football at your local club, league, school, college or university then the London FA want to hear from you!

To apply to be a member you will need to be aged between 14 – 24 years old and be able to show passion and commitment to the development of football in London.

You will need to be able to demonstrate team-working and good communication skills and be committed to attending at least four Young Leaders Council meetings per year.

The roles and responsibilities of a council member are outlined here. Once the council has been formed, as a group they will appoint their own chair and vice-chair.

This is a fantastic opportunity to let the people who run football in London hear what you have to say and really make a difference.

How do I apply?

To apply for a place on the Young Leaders Council, complete an application form and send to the London FA by 5pm on Monday 1 October. For more information, email [email protected], call 0207 610 8360 or tweet @londonfa.
