Great grassroots photos – keep them coming!

Congratulations to Karen Larkin – winner of our ‘Grassroots Photo of the Month’ award for June.

Karen wins our third monthly award for this photo of Boro Rangers Under 15s goalkeeper James Cardwell making a great save in Middlesbrough’s Champions League tournament this summer (click to open in full).

The narrow winner of June’s competition, as voted for by Club Website’s Facebook members, Karen wins her choice of a prize from the Club Website goody bag!

The pick of the bunch from our July competition are now ready for your votes on our Facebook page. We’ve got four fantastic grassroots snaps that capture a whole host of action and emotion – previews of which can be found below.

'Diving Header' - by Andy Cooper, Havant & Waterlooville Under 9s

Since kicking off our hunt for great grassroots photos, you’ve done us proud. We’ve been inundated with your snaps capturing the essence of the game at grassroots level and featuring some great moments.

'A moment to savour' - by Peter Kirby, Bedlington Town Vipers Under 9s

We’ve already got quite a collection of photos coming together and we’re really enjoying sharing them with you both here and on our Facebook page, where a new grassroots photo takes pride of place at the top of the page each week.

'Shootout joy' - by Jayne Telford, Birkdale United Under 12 Girls

With pre-season now fully underway and the new season just around the corner, there will be loads of great changes for you to take some more cracking snaps.

So please keep the photos coming and we’ll keep sharing them… and don’t forget, each monthly winner takes a prize from our Club Website goody bag. If you have a snap that you’d like to send in, please email it to [email protected].

'Get in there' - by Craig Ward, Bispham Junior Football Federation Under 10s

Please note:
– Include your name and that of your club so that we can credit the photo to both
– All photos will be accepted, though they must be in landscape format and at least 850 pixels wide to be eligible for display as our Facebook cover image.

So to any other budding David Baileys out there: please keep the photos coming. We look forward to seeing yet more evidence of why they call it the beautiful game.
