Vote for your June 'Grassroots Photo of the Month'

Congratulations to Dean Hollowood – winner of our ‘Grassroots Photo of the Month’ award for May.

Dean wins our second monthly award for this photo of the pre-match ‘Respect Handshake’ involving West Bromwich United Under 10s (click to open in full).

The runaway winner of May’s competition, as voted for by Club Website’s Facebook members, Dean wins his choice of a prize from the Club Website goody bag!

June’s competition is now open and features four fantastic snaps from around the grassroots game in the UK. We bring you a preview each of the entries below. You can view the full-size versions and vote for your favourite on our Facebook page.

'Heading for the postage stamp' - by Claire Hasker, Wythall Juniors

Since launching our hunt for great grassroots photos, you’ve really come up trumps. We’ve been inundated with your snaps capturing the essence of the game at grassroots level and featuring some great moments.

'Over the wall' - by Graham Hodges, Wanstead Saints

We’re building up a fantastic collection of photos which we’re enjoying sharing with you here and on our new-look Facebook page, where a new grassroots photo takes pride of place at the top of the page each week.

'Great take' - by Karen Larkin, Boro Rangers Under 15s

Each monthly winner takes a prize from our Club Website goody bag, so please keep the photos coming and we’ll keep sharing them. If you have a snap that you’d like to send in, please email it to [email protected].

'Rule Britannia' - photo of Britannia FC, provided by Michael Johnson

Please note:
– Include your name and that of your club so that we can credit the photo to both
– All photos will be accepted, though they must be in landscape format and at least 850 pixels wide to be eligible for display as our Facebook cover image.

So to any other budding David Baileys out there: please keep the photos coming. We look forward to seeing yet more evidence of why they call it the beautiful game.
