Video tribute to UK grassroots football heroes

The unsung heroes of the UK’s amateur football community have been put in the spotlight in a new video celebrating the grassroots game.

The poetic tribute, entitled “Grassroots and Boots”, marks the 2012 Community Awards in association with McDonald’s and the four Home Nation Football Associations, for which nominations are now open.

    every single person who does any unpaid work in grassroots football and helps to keep the unsung clubs in excistance for the communities they belong too,to enjoy football at low cost and in a friendly enviroment is worthy of nomination for a moment in the spotlight, but I think the majority of these people would find it embarasing to be thought of as some kind of hero.
