Club Website launches new Facebook timeline

Club Website has launched a brand new Facebook page and grassroots football tops the bill.

The new timeline design – live now at – puts amateur football teams at the centre of attention, with our favourite grassroots photos taking pride of place at the top of the homepage.

Kicking things off is a cracking photo of Blessington Carriage FC, provided by Darren Hibbert, and we’ll be switching this round every few days to capture another moment of grassroots football magic.

Action shots, celebrations snaps or team photos – if you’ve got an image that captures what grassroots football is all about, then send it to us (see details below) and you could see your team in lights in front of over 30,000 Facebook fans. What’s more, you also give yourself a chance of claiming a monthly prize for the best photo.

And there’s more…

The new cover image is not the only change to the Facebook page. Using the new ‘timeline’ layout, we’ve posted a brief history of Club Website and some key milestones on our journey to where we are today.

We’ve also added loads more photos and videos to the site to help tell the story – like our Wembley winners, below – which means the page now has a more colourful layout.

Unlike some companies out there, we’ve always liked to keep our Facebook page interactive and the new site is no different. So please keep posting your comments and get involved in the debates.

We’ll continue to post topics for debate, opinion polls and exclusive Facebook competitions, so keep your eye out for those along with the usual video, chat and grassroots football banter.

What’s more, if there’s anything that you’d like to see on our Facebook page, please let us know. We’re always open to cool new ideas!

There’s plenty more to come from our new Facebook page and you guys and girls out there are right at the heart of it, so keep checking into and see how it develops!

Send us your grassroots football snaps!

If you have a photo that you’d like to see featured on our Facebook homepage, please email it to [email protected] or send it to us via our Facebook page, another new feature of the new timeline layout.

Please note:
Photos must be in landscape format (wider than tall) and at least 850 pixels wide
– Please include both your name and the name of your club.

The best photos that we receive will be posted on our Facebook page with the name of your club and your name, whilst the most popular photos – as voted for by ‘likes’ from our Facebook fans – picking up a monthly prize from our Club Website goody bag.
