Four days left to support your local playing fields

There are just four days to go for you to help protect your local playing fields as part of the Queen Elizabeth II Fields Challenge.

2012 parks, playing fields and playgrounds are being protected to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

You have until Friday 18 November to help support your local green spaces.

To involved visit www.qe2fields.com, search by your postcode or local authority to find a park or playing fields in your local area and click to show your support.

If you can’t find the one you want, then you can download a call to action card to send off to your local authority urging them to get involved!

The Duke of Cambridge, patron of the Queen Elizabeth II Fields Challenge, said: “I have been delighted at the way Local Authorities all around Britain have responded to the invitation to nominate fields for protection.

“The nominations have come flooding in from the Birks of Aberfeldy to St Austell, from Kings Lynn to Aberystyth and Belfast. Now we need you to join in.

“Protecting these sites will mean that millions of people for generations to come can take part in sport, play and enjoyment. Many of these sites may be lost in the future if they are not protected.”

Voting is open until Friday 18 November at www.qe2fields.com.
