With stops in the Midlands and the North, the tour has been a successful one so far. We kicked it all off with an eye-opening trip to Birmingham in December and then headed north in January when we visited some equally shocking facilities in South Yorkshire.
So now we felt it was time to find out what was happening in the south of the country. We’ve already seen and heard of a few terrible changing rooms in and around the London area but we’re looking to find out more, so we need you involved!
Join us on our Football Revolution and help us expose some of the sub-standard facilities that footballers up and down the country are having to put with week in and week out. If you play your football in London or the South East and you’re not happy with the state of the changing rooms or pitch where you play then please let us know.
Whether you get to use nothing more than just a couple of shacks – like Kings Norton Park in Birmingham – or a dark, dingy building with no running water and no lights – like Birdwell Rec in Barnsley – then we want to hear about them!
We only got to see the facilities we have to date because the players, managers and secretaries who use them saw our campaign and got in touch with us. So if you want Club Website to pay your club a visit then make sure you do the same!
We’ll be hitting the road before the end of February to check out more run-down buildings, dirty changing rooms and unplayable pitches. The more we get to see, the stronger our case will be when we take them to the powers that be… so that’s where you come in!
Grab your camera and help expose your facilities (expose… get it?)
Help us help you by sending in your photos of your dodgy facilities!
All we ask is that you take your camera to your game this weekend and then send in your photos and videos of just how bad your facilities are!
Whether it’s boarded-up changing rooms, smashed windows, broken doors or showers that you dare not go into, then we want to see them.
Tell us a bit about the facilities in question: where they are, who owns them, how much they cost you per season and just why there are as bad as they are.
We’ll be looking for the worst facilities in London and the South East and, if you play there, we might just pay you a visit before the month is out!
Don’t suffer in silence. We really want to help get something done about this hugely important issue on behalf of you, the footballing public.
