Your dodgy facilities – keep 'em coming!

Acorn FC changing roomSince we launched the Football Revolution a few months ago you’ve been telling us that football facilities around the UK are just not up to scratch… and now you’ve been showing us!

Thanks to all of you who’ve sent in your photos and videos so far, including Dave Capp, secretary of Acorn FC who sent us these photos of the shocking changing rooms they have to put up with (click image to the right).

Acorn FC are one of four football teams who rent these from Barnsley Council at a cost of £500 per season. Scandalous!

Darwin FC changing roomsTake a look also at the changing rooms at Biggin Hill Recreation Ground in Kent (left), sent into us by Ros MacMahon of Darwin FC.

Her club share these lovely facilities with five teams at Biggin Hill FC at a combined cost of £1,500 per annum, leased from by Bromley Council.

Dirty showersWe’ve also got a few photos of the changing rooms at Boston Gardens (right) where a few of us in the Club Website office have played over the years.  These are always a treat… particularly the showers!

How do your facilities compare? We want to see them!

So how do these facilities shape up against your own? Do your changing rooms make these look like a palace?  Does your pitch have more holes in it than the San Marino back four?

If so, then we want to see them. It’s easy – take your camera to your game this weekend and get some photos and videos of your own facilities. Whether it’s a mud bath or a pot-holed pitch, clapped out changing rooms, filthy showers, smashed windows or broken doors that mean you can’t lock any of your stuff away, we want to see them!

Once you’re back from the game, send the evidence into us here at Club Website by whatever means suits you.

You can either post the photos on our Facebook page, send them to us via Twitter or simply email them to [email protected].

WarningWe’ll continue to pull together a collection of the worst facilities out there for our ‘dodgy dossier’ and take them to the powers that be later in the season. Once again, thanks to those of you who’ve sent stuff in so far, but please keep them coming!

Good luck to all of you in your football this weekend and, whatever your facilities are like, we hope you enjoy your game.

We’ll leave you with the video uploaded on YouTube and Facebook from Henry Willard of Potters FC showing their complete lack of facilities following an arson attack in 2007.

Henry and his team are among the 39 percent of you out there who will be playing football this weekend without any changing rooms at all.  We all know this isn’t good enough so help us do something about it… .. so don’t forget to take your camera with you!!
