With the start of September comes the final Community Football Day's of the summer. It has been an amazing few months filled with sun, fun and football and we want to thank all those who participated across the UK!
But it's not over just yet... Scotland, be ready, as the last two events will take place this upcoming weekend. McDonald's is hosting Community Football Day's with Ross County FC on Saturday, September 8th and Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC on Sunday, September 9th. These events provide fun, free and informal activities for youngsters of all football abilities to enjoy themselves in a exciting and safe environment.
Community Football Days are split into two categories:
Showcase Events include Inflatables, Football Ambassadors, Drop in Skills Sessions, Fun Football Activities, and ways to be involved in football.
Regional Events include Drop in Skills Sessions, Fun Football Activities, and ways to be involved in football.
The events see hundreds of young footballers and non-footballers alike, gather to enjoy the day which focuses on providing the opportunity to play football and take part in a range of football skills & drills.
The McDonald’s Fun Football programme focuses on supporting accredited grassroots clubs and their volunteers to raise the standards of grassroots football across the UK while improving the grassroots experience for young aspiring footballers, regardless of their ability.
